How our grain storage solutions make a difference
Cimbria delivers 23 grain silos to boost Egypt’s food security, capacity now at over 13 million tons
We supported Egypt’s national grain strategy by helping to modernize and connect its grain storage network.
Working with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, we delivered a digital system that links and monitors 23 grain silo plants, giving the country clearer grain volume visibility and improving product safety and quality. The result is a more stable supply, fewer price fluctuations, and a stronger foundation for long-term food security.
Cimbria installs 6,000 metric tons of grain storage capacity for Uganda
Uganda loses roughly 18% of its grain annually (roughly 2.8 million tons) due to shifting weather patterns, unpredictable rainfall, shorter growing seasons. This has caused untold problems for grain producers and the wider communities.
In partnership with Uganda's National Enterprise Corporation, we built a state-of-the-art grain drying and storage in Kigumba, 200 km north of Kampala. The aim of this project was to boost Uganda's food security, delivering a 15 tons-per-hour drying section and 6,000 tons of storage capacity.
