Cimbria installed a new seed processing plant for cereals in Croatia

Processing different cultures: wheat, soybeans, barley, corn and sunflower

RIGHT IN THE HEART OF CROATIA, CIMBRIA INSTALLED A BRAND-NEW SEED PROCESSING PLANT

With headquarters in Croatia and almost 30 years of experience, the Agromais main business is the production, trading and warehousing of cereals, soybeans, corn and rapeseed.  The company is also specialized in the development of new seeds and hybrids varieties, which makes it one of the leading agricultural companies in south-eastern Europe.

Within the expansion project in the region, Cimbria has been a crucial partner for Agromais through the design and building of a new complete processing line, to meet different market demands and to manage the whole range of seeds already treated by the company.

This new and versatile plant is now running with an intake capacity of 10 TPH, so representing the largest privately-owned seed facility in Croatia.

The material to be processed can be delivered in two ways: either by the existing storage silos, or from a separate Cimbria receiving pit with a length of 10m, which allows the seed material to be received directly from trucks or big bags.

The cleaning, separation and sorting cycles are realized by the Cimbria Delta 142 pre-cleaner, Delta 116 fine cleaner, HSR 10020 R-L indented cylinders, GA 210 gravity separator, TS 180 de-stoner and the latest highly sophisticated SEA Chromex 4T+TN full-color optical sorter. Coating is carried out by the CC 50 Centricoater through a direct dosing line.

To complete the finishing process, the coated material is stored in two square modular silos of an individual volume of approx. 7m³, from which the final product is delivered directly to the filling and weighing line for big bags and to the semi-automatic line for bagging the seeds into paper or plastic bags (5 to 50 kg).

As a next step, Agromais intends to upgrade the plant with a fully automated bagging line with palletization. Cimbria will be more than happy to support and guide Agromais in its growing and expanding seed business.
