Cimbria endorses cancellation of Agritechnica 2022

Recently the German Agricultural Society (DLG) canceled the Agritechnica 2022 due to the ongoing Corona pandemic. The world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology will take place in its regular rotation in November 2023.

Although disappointed not to be able to attend to Agritechnica in 2022 and thereby not being able to take advantage of this great opportunity to meet with our customers and colleagues from the industry, we at Cimbria consider the cancellation of the Agritechnica 2022 is a responsible decision. As part of AGCO Cimbria is committed to ensuring safety of Cimbria employees, partners and customers. The current pandemic situation does not allow us to meet in this way and so Cimbria support this very prudent and consistent decision by DLG.

Gary Rollinson, Vice President Grain & Seed EAME:

“It is of course the right decision in a time like this. For Cimbria, Agritechnica is an outstanding opportunity to engage in in-person dialogues with customers, business partners and other manufacturers. Naturally we are unhappy to miss out on this opportunity. We were particularly expectant to introduce some very exciting product news to our customers”.

This attitude underlines the statement of Eric Hansotia, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer AGCO, who expressed:

"It is disappointing that we will miss this great opportunity to meet our customers and colleagues from across the world at this important international event. We do, however, totally support the DLG decision and agree that, due to the current situation with Covid-19 and the ongoing uncertainty, the safety of our staff and visitors must be the top priority"
